Rare and unique 18th century New Hampshire candlestand. The tulip demi-lune top has chamfered edges with a tilt and turn mechansim. The carved shaft is ash and the oak legs are beautifully shaped with high knees and lively feet. Pegged construction; original and unvarnished surface. This unusually tall candlestand is all original, untouched, and in excellent condition. Provenance: Private collection; Jan Whitlock; Grace and Elliott Snyder; Kelter-Malce.
