No one loved hearts more than Lillian Cogan.  This 18th century tape loom belonged to her.  This paddle loom, also called a knee/lap loom, features a large carved heart in the center of the whale end bottom. The heddle (slats) allows the weaver to make wider hand-loomed tapes. The heddle is attached to the whale end bottom with the original rose head nails. Excellent condition; pine in original natural surface. Lillian Cogan’s name tag remains affixed to the loom; there is also a collector’s inventory number.  Dimensions:  15” x 26”.
