A fine 19th century American folkart watercolor and ink portrait attributed to Joseph H. Davis, circa 1835. The full-length miniature depicts a gentleman in a black, shawl-collared coat, a striped vest, a high collared shirt, and trousers. He is standing on a vibrantly colored patterned floor coving holding his top hat. Housed under glass in a period-appropriate black molded wooden frame.
