A folky and fun hooked rug of a lion with a fabulous mane and a great face. Don’t let his playful look fool you . . . he is cleverly designed and skillfully hooked.  The entire background is expertly executed in overlapping concentric circles.  His very shaggy mane is a rare and wonderful textural element, along with the “fur” tail and along two legs.  His face is a bit darker and accented in plum .  I think he is wearing shades!   In excellent condition; professionally mounted for hanging.
