A neutral background is the perfect setting for this charming hooked rug of a blue house; the folky motifs provide pops of color and visual interest.  The rug is hooked with wools and cottons.  The background is grey; the house is a lovely shade of blue with a brown roof, several mullioned windows, a rust colored door, and a red chimney. There is a large brown pine tree to the right of the house, and a wishing well with a red bucket to the left.  The moon and a dove float above the house.  Along the entire width on the bottom is an array of country motifs that include a dog, flowers, and a smiling cat.  Bound with grey tape and professionally mounted.  In excellent condition.  Dimensions:  width 40"; height 26.5".
