Late 18th/early 19th century lift-top blanket chest, New England. The chest retains its original red wash surface, with the patina and wear you would expect from a piece with 225 years of use. It has its original turned feet, brasses, and snipe hinges. There are two faux drawers over two working drawers. The lift top opens to a good-sized storage compartment, with the two lower drawers adding additional storage. Its period form and restrained design allow it to sit comfortably in a period, country, or contemporary home.
