Rare 18th century tape loom in original red paint.  Elegant in its simplicity with hand carved chamfered rounded edge. The whale end of paddle looms were held between the weavers knees for access and stability.  There are 21 holes so that the weaver would be able to weave a range of tape widths.  There is an early tape and strings attached. From the Framingham, MA area from a private collection.  Dimensions:  7" x 23.25".
