A rare coordinated set of 19th century PA seed bags. The larger one is made of a 19th century printed cotton textile with a integral delicate lacy border. A heavy thread is inserted into a narrow pocket at the top. The other two pieces are the size of postage stamps. They are made from the lacy border of the same fabric. They too have heavy thread inserted into very narrow pockets. Perhaps they were made for a young girl to help her mother collect seeds. However they are such good condition that I doubt they were ever used.
Dimsions: larger bag 3" x 3.25"; smaller bags: 1" x 1.25"
