Rare 18th century lady’s knitted pocket watch holder.  Wrought in two beautiful shades of blue; motifs, initials, and date of 1798 in ecru.  Dark blue and ecru braid attached to the bottom. Tiny stitches form the hanging loop on top. The pocket that holds the watch is lined with chamois; the pocket is knitted in brown and rose.  In excellent condition. Provenance:  Private collection.
