Early pine nut bowl with original oyster paint and in-period make-do repair

Soulful survivor with the best surface, this circa 1800 – 1810,  nut bowl has a wonderful in-period make-do repair. Made of pine, it retains much of its oyster paint on the outside of the bowl; natural surface inside.  Potato-chippy rim (out-of-round) just as you would expect of a bowl this age. Slow lathe marks inside and out.  This good-sized piece looks great as a centerpiece . . . fill it with your favorite things.

Provenance:  NH collection.  Dimensions: diameter 11.5”; height varies from 2.75” to 3.5”.
