A rare and early watercolor entitled Man in Striped Pants Shooting at a Bird in a Tree.  Attributed to Mary Ann Willson, who was one of the earliest known female American folk artist, active 1810-1825.  Painted frame.  Dimensions:  sight 11.5” x 7”; frame 14.25” x 10”.  Condition: Losses, scattered spotting.  See Folk Art, Summer 1998, pgs. 20 – 23.  Provenance: Judy Lenett, Silver Spring Farm, Ridgefield, Connecticut, November 17, 1979; The Arthur & Sybil Kern Collection of American Folk Art.
