Rare and wonderful pair of miniature blue smoke decorated tin sconces; reacquired from a private collection. A mere 8.5” tall, the backs taper from the crimped crest to the curved arm that holds the crimped drip pan and narrow candle cups. The original paint decorated surfaces are aswirl with blue and smokey colors.  The edges are rolled. The early taper candles are included.  A remarkable pair of early 19th century miniature lighting.  Provenance:  Sally Schell; Private collections.  Dimensions:  height 8.5”; width at top 3”; width at bottom 1.75”; arms extend 3.5”.
