Early 19th century heart shaped pin cushion/needle holder. The top and bottom hearts, that appear to be of woven cotton, have small heart shaped "windows", each holding a verse written in sepia ink. The top and bottom hearts open to reveal a pin cushion and needle holders of wool with red embroidered edges. Hand sewn in amazingly small stitches. In excellent condition.
