Good, early fabric bird.  Made of brown homespun, this bird is entirely hand sewn. The wings and tail are formed with what feels like pasteboard.  The crest is ruffled dark brown homespun.  There is a dark brown thread attached to the bird's back from which to hang it. A quintessential fabric bird that enhances a textile, pin cushion, or velvet fruit collection and display.   From a Private collection.  Dimensions:  length head to tail 8"; height to top of crest 3".
